Artist Statement

This work brings attention to the beauty and release of the spring season and the processes that have lay hidden, now revealing themselves in our external and internal landscape.

In my work tulips and other spring bulbs can represent abundant transitions…out of spiritual

dormancy awakens the seed of vast potential, maturing what was concealed, giving shape to the beauty and joy in our hearts.

Living in the Pacific Northwest we look forward to the first signs of spring, the tender shoots coming up in the garden and the return of longer days. It is easy to experience the interconnection between the external and internal landscapes. We can experience our ownprocesses of budding, flowering, composting, and dormancy. And take a lesson in resilience from the nature of plants.
